Ever wanted to make money fast? You can buy whatever you want with your money, so here are some ways to rake in some big bucks.
Method 1 of 5: Caring for others
1
Babysit. This sounds like a given, doesn't it? Well, take a babysitting class at your local hospital or recreation center. They are usually one day only, and then you get a certificate. More people will want to hire you if you have been trained to handle different situations;leading to a larger salary.
2
Wash and walk dogs with your best friends. It can get wet and messy, though, so wear tee shirts and old jeans. You can also offer to pet-watch for people when they go on vacations; most will pay you when you return anyway. Depending on how long they are gone for, you could rake it in fast.
Method 2 of 5: Outdoor jobs
1
Do yard work. Mow lawns in the summer, shovel snow in the winter, rake leaves in the fall, and plant in the springtime. Charge $5 an hour to start off with, and work your pricing higher by about .50 cents as you become more popular with your work. Think: If you worked 4 hours, you will make $20.00. Do that each day for a week? You make $140.00.
2
Wash cars with as many friends as you want or even by yourself! Have the cars in your driveway pull into the garage and ask people you know to wash their cars. (start $5.00 small car, $7.00 medium car, $8.75 large car. If you were to wash one of each size, you could make $20.75 a day. Sweet! If you made that much, after just 1 week, you will have made $145.25!)
Method 3 of 5: Selling
1
Sell homemade jewelry, hold a crafts fair, or make your own brand makeup and sell that. Sell everything $5.00 to $15.00, and you could be loaded. Most of us have lots of things just laying around we don't use, that someone else could. Make your own simple lip gloss and sell that! (mix petroleum jelly and a pretty colored eyeshadow. Bam! You've got lip gloss).
2
Buy a few fashion patterns in your local fabric section of a store such as Wal-Mart. Even if you don't sew much, practice with the directions inside. Substitute the fabrics with your favorites. Sell them priced as you might at a yard sale.
3
Donate clothes! before you go school shopping next year, or even this weekend, donate a bag of clothes. Depending on quality and amount, you could make about $40.00-$250.00!
4
Redecorate your bedroom. If you are planning to sell your old furniture, bring it to a local pawn shop, or a store that will give you part profit for your generous donations.
5
Get all your friends together and do a clothes-swapping party. You can either hold a "fashion show" for the younger kids in the neighborhood, or you could sell them at a garage sale.
6
Hold a garage sale. Sell all of your unwanted stuff. Ask friends or family to pitch in some stuff so that it's a bigger and better sale. Put up signs around your neighborhood telling how to get to your house, you can even do it on busy streets and get tons more costumers.
Only put stuff out that looks worth the money. If not, it's probably trash.
Method 4 of 5: Income from jobs
1
Get a job. If you are old enough, just get a job somewhere nice, that pays fair. Check at your local Maverick gas station. At some, if you work there, you get free gas! But, remember, depending on the size of your city, some gas stations can lure in some creepy people!
Method 5 of 5: Services
1
Give makeovers, on a free weekend for girls in your neighborhood, if you are good at it! You won't believe how much little girls love that! Charge only $2.00 for kids under 6, $5.00 for kids 7-10, and $5.75 for older kids. You may charge less if desired. For the boys, do hair dye stuff (like, temporarily spray dye their hair blue).
2
Tutor younger children for affordable prices. If you're good at a certain subject at school and are getting A grades in it, why not pass down your skills to some younger children? Parents of kids are often looking for a tutor in math or literacy, and adult tutors can be really expensive, so why not ask for a minimum wage for your services? Ask for no more than $10 per session and make sure you're teaching them correctly and patiently; offer them rewards such as sweets if they did well that session. Also, teaching someone else is a great way to relearn potential "forgotten subjects" and ensure that you've learned it thoroughly. As they say, teaching is one of the best ways to learn!
